Czech Church Helps Send American Missionary to Africa

Global missions at work!

We had a great send-off service on Sunday in our church at Čelákovice, Czech Republic. We talked about the joy we have in Christ and the joy we have in ministry from Paul's letters to the Philippians. The elders prayed for me and many of those present came to me after the service to say good-bye and assure me of their prayer support. A sizable collection was taken up for me to use on the month-long trip to five African countries.

I leave in just a few minutes to catch a plane to Amsterdam where I meet up with Rick Calenberg and Matt Miranda from Southwest Bible Church. This Romans Project trip has many different facets this time. One large event is a week long conference for pastors in Ethiopia where Scott Gilchrist will teach through the book of Romans and there will be translation into six different languages.

Please pray with us and for us that God would greatly use this trip to His glory and the good of African pastors in preparing them to better preach God's Word to God's people.
